HISTORY OF THE CHAPTER


The Lt. Nathan Gan Chapter held it's organizational meeting and installation of officers in ceremonies at a dinner meeting on Thursday, May 23, 1974 at 7 P.M. in the Red Room at the Hotel Angelina.

Eighteen Charter members received their Certificates and Lapel Insignia Rosettes, from The Honorable Compatriot George P. Red, President, Texas Society, SAR, assisted by Compatriot Adrian F. Drouilhet, Secretary-Treasurer, TXSSAR. 

Local officers installed were:

The Rev. John Wilkins, of the Capt. William Barron Chapter, very kindly acted as organizing Chaplain, to the Lieut. Nathan Gan Chapter.

Guests for the occasion were the wives of the members of the local chapter, or parents, friends namely Mr. and Mrs. R. P. Huber, Sr., Mrs. W. C. Royle Sr., and Miss Redd.

State guests: President and Mrs. George P. Red, Houston, Texas and Mr. & Mrs. Adrien F. Drouilhet, Baytown, TX.
